Required forms

The following items are required of all students attending NYU Shanghai 2013 and must be submitted to NYU’s Office of Global Programs by the indicated deadline date.

  • Study Away Confirmation Portal

The study away confirmation portal will be open to students on May 15th and is used to collect your housing preferences.  Additionally, it is through this portal that you will submit your insurance information and emergency contact details.  Here you will also agree to the housing license and the travel release documentation. The information collected within the portal is due by June 15th.

  • Flight

You are responsible for arranging your own flight for your semester abroad. Please keep in mind you MUST arrive on August 26th  and participate in the mandatory orientation. Housing is available only for the dates of the program (August 26th – December 19th) so if you plan to arrival early or leave late, please be aware you will be responsible for your own accommodations.

While you may choose to purchase your flight at any time and through any carrier, we recommend using NYU’s preferred partner, Egencia, to buy your ticket. If you book as part of the NYU Shanghai Fall 2013 group through Egencia, your flight details will automatically be transferred into NYU Traveler at the time of booking, so you will not have to register the flight again. Please see the following egencia-instructions for info on how to book your flight through Egencia.

  • NYU Traveler

NYU Traveler is NYU’s travel portal.  Before your semester away you should be sure to familiarize yourself with the resources posted there.  From within NYU Traveler you can learn more about insurance, immunizations (whenever applicable), University travel policies and much more.  You can also link through to NYU’s travel partner, Egencia, to book your flight or to register your flight separately with NYU Public Safety.

  • Register with the Moses Center

Students with disabilities who will be studying abroad should contact the Henry and Lucy Moses Center for Students with Disabilities (212.998.4980) in order to discuss resources that might be required, to provide the necessary documentation, and to arrange for these services well before departure.
