Required Zero-Credit Course

In addition to the required Chinese language class, there is a zero-credit, pass/fail, required course called “Global Encounters: Introduction to Contemporary China” that all study away students must take. The class will mostly take place during Orientation Week. It will appear on transcripts but will have no bearing on GPA as it is zero credits. All study away students will be enrolled in the class by NYU Shanghai so you do not have to enroll in it yourself.
